From the 17th of August your TV may stop working……….
If you are still using an older type television and you don’t have a set top box or a built in decoder, then you will lose all your channels and your favourite programs as the analogue signal is finally switched off and Leicestershire goes DIGITAL.
This will not affect those viewers who receive their programmes via cable, satellite or broadband.
Nearly 5% of us may experience difficulties during the Digital Switch Over but there are several Government backed schemes to help you out with advice and in some cases financial help with the cost of installing a set top box.
As the exisiting analogue signal is switched off you WILL need to in order to keep watching your favourite programmes either a set top box which is a cheaper option than upgrading your TV. You may also find that you need to upgrade your TV aerial to receive all the channels that will be available.
